The territory of the Roero is homogeneous between the course of the Tanaro south, the provinces of Asti and Turin south-east and north, the state highway 61 west. The Roero hills are the last western offshoots of the Asti and get longer chasing the left of the river Tanaro. Right in the heart of the Roero is Castellinaldo ancient medieval village that has always shown its massive viticulture. Here for centuries heaven and earth give details for these extraordinary features of refined taste and bouquet to all wines: Barbera, Nebbiolo, Roero Arneis, Favorita, Bonarda and Birbet (Brachetto).
And it is characteristic that the wine makers of Castellinaldo, one evening in 1991, they decided to call their Barbera "Castellinaldo".
